"In 1949, as a result of the distribution of collectivized agricultural lands, the best wine from the village of Obcha was being produced, which gained recognition in the production of wine in the local village. Wine production began in 1953. Obcha's unique microzone is well-known for its quality and some specific grape varieties, as well as a few different wine types like "Obchuri Red," "Obchuri Old," "Obchuri Tsolikauri," "Kraxuna," "Kuprashvili's Red," and others. With the goal of reviving old winemaking traditions, the company "Obcha Winery" took its first steps in wine production in 2020.
